Spyware Targeting POS Systems

As merchants, we know you are always following procedures to keep card information safe, but now there is a new threat that everyone needs to be aware of:  spyware and malware programs specifically targeting merchant point of sale (POS) systems. Vantiv Becomes First U.S. Acquirer to Complete MasterCard Requirements to Process EMV Transactions

Vantiv, Inc., a family company of NPC, announced on Monday that it is the first U.S. acquirer to complete MasterCard’s testing requirements to be able to process EMV transactions for MasterCard, Maestro, and Cirrus brands at both ATM and point-of-sale locations.
